I'm glad our Pentax cameras and lenses are not made in China.
Isn't the Ricoh GR made in China? And I bet more than half of the electrical components of even the K-1 and 645Z are sourced from China. Some Pentax gear like flashes (eg my AF-160FC), plus many Pentax peripherals (batteries, chargers etc) are too. Even my OME-53 magnifying eyepiece is made in China. The Pentax supply chain stretches around the world - Japan, China, Philippines, Vietnam, even Indonesia (the MX-1).

I don’t think you’ll be seeing a Pentax 100 year hat on one of their reviewers any time soon.

Off topic, since you guys are discussing hats and such important matters - the app he is using to focus and trigger on his smartphone, what is the Pentax equivalent? I am on a K3II - I know it requires a wifi card, but what else ...

Looks like he's using Nikon's Snapbridge, I think. Not all Nikon's support it, since not all have Bluetooth. "Supported Digital Cameras as of August 2019: Z 7, Z 6, D850, D500, D7500, D5600, D3500, D3400, COOLPIX P1000, A1000, A900, A300, B700, B500, B600, W300, W150, W100, KeyMission 80". Older Nikon's can use the 'Wireless Mobile Utility' app, which uses WiFi, not Bluetooth.

Ricoh's Image Sync does the job for Pentax.

Thanks. Not compatible with my K3II, but reading the reviews I am not missing out on much. Ok. They have taken their time with the new APS-C so I'll assume that is one of the things they are working hard on now.
