Is that an exclusive kit for shooting atmospheric atomic tests? Don't forget the sun screen!

Do you see anything in the viewfinder with this combination or is it completely black?
wel... it is very dark, but with daylight the live-view is still somewhat usable. Thermal waves in air are worse problem..

So that's a 1.7+1.7x+1.5x+1.4x? So assuming that the 50-500 is zoomed all the way out to 500, that's a 3034mm ... F... 38?

For when you really want to see what that man's T-shirt is saying waayyyyyyyy over in the next state.

1.7 + 1.7 + 1.5 + 2 = 4335mm (6500mm Equiv of FF) F58

Now I have another two 2x TC.. so maybe it is time for new test.. but I need some really bright target... for 17340mm F232.. Something like 5s exposure on daylight with iso800 and tripod won't be enough.. maybe some packs with sand.

Good luck with your test. Remember you have 3 connected items. Hold your camera and lens properly. Also show us some samples.

Jesus that thing is huge. Point it at the sun and you might even get away with a normal exposure time

I wonder if, since Sigma now won't be producing lenses in K-mount, Pentax and Sigma would partner for a few lenses like what they did with the 24-70 and 15-30. It's a pipe dream but a nice thought I guess.

You mean Pentax and Tamron, right?
There isn't much in Tamron 's lineup which I'd like to see rebadged as a Pentax. I'd rather have more Pentax lenses; even if they'll give them to Tokina and we will keep hearing the classic "it's a Sigma! No, a Tamron! No, a Tokina - anything but a Pentax!"

Right, I was a bit distracted when typing this. And I mean if Pentax and Sigma would partner for a few lenses like what Pentax and Tamron did for the 15-30 and 24-70. But I wouldn't mind seeing Pentax rebadge the Tamron 35 1.4. Although I'm sure that Ricoh would much rather have a 35 1.4 as a Star lens designed and produced by Pentax.

Pentax and Sigma didn't happen, and I don't think it will in the future.
I guess you're right about the 35mm, it appears to be a D FA * lens (exact focal and name not officially confirmed; roadmap can change without notice). That would make it a Pentax.
design.
Probably we'll see more "Tokina Opera" s.

That's fine too. Spreading the cost out to more potential customers is great. It means more potential income for Ricoh and it may get more people interested in seeing what Pentax has to offer.

Provided that these people know that the Tokina lens they are admiring is based on a Pentax design, which, I think, is far from being the case in most circumstances.

Don't worry, sites like DPR will surely give credit where credit is due... oh, wait...
