There’s a film holder that attaches to the optical viewfinder. 35mm and 110 to maintain back compatibility with the 110 line.

I'm pleased Pentax are hard at work on new lenses. What in photography can't be done with a kp or k1? Kp three years old, still takes great pictures. I'm excited for a k1ii.

Absolutely not true.

A MILC would have EVF - which would be used by those who value it {only people who would purchase it}

A K-1iii would have other stuff - since I don't hear demand for upgrading K-1ii, I'm not listing anything, but I also kind of doubt it would happen.

I don't normally frequent this forum, but I think something needs to be said about this statement. I don't care if Pentax slows down to one camera every 15 years, like someone else said already, since today's cameras are about as good as I could ever imagine. I love my K-1 mII and don't ***want*** another camera, just because. However, this is the 100th Anniversary of Pentax as a brand. It only comes once, and is an (albeit purely psychological) important milestone. A new camera, or even a "special edition" version of something already on the market, like this, would be an appropriate product. I hope that Pentax comes up with something more than this to commemorate this event. Happy Birthay, Pentax!

I think it's mostly the K-3/K-3 II crowd who are looking for a new camera. Pentax has made advancements in their cameras and APS-C "flagship" shooters (like me) want them.

There's also the problem that it is almost impossible to buy a new K-3 II, and it is difficult to locate a used K-3 series camera in excellent condition froma reputable seller, and on those prices have gone up. If my K-3 II failed, I would rather spend $1200 or something on a new APS-C flagship than $800 on a used K-3 II that is supposedly in excellent condition from an ebay seller in Japan.

Frankly, if my K-3 II failed in the near future, I would seriously consider switching brands, simply because I'm feeling boxed in.
