However, as a hobbyist, I only care about the appearance of the photos, not the appearance of the camera. I'll take function over form any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I agree AFA modern digital cameras, K-1 and KP meet the function requirement
combined with good form. I have a silver KP. As a hobbyist / enthusiast, part of the pleasure of cameras is admiring their visual design attributes and the simple pleasure of holding them and hearing them. Consequently if black was available originally, in many cases I have chosen that color because I think it looks better on that camera.
