I know that 90% of the time my K-7 did not get good pictures it was operator error, and the remaining 10% was... operator error by insisting the camera work better in low light
Main reason I got the K-1 was the low light capabilities and giving a proper home to all those beautiful venerable lenses.

I was very close to deciding on a KP (plus starting to buy the DA Ltds) but with prices within 150 of each other the K-1 won out.
Yes the K1 and low light just works so well, looking forward to getting back to the DA lenses with the new body, the K1 has me playing with way too many old favourites from the film days and I haven't been showing the love to the DA's or APS-C

Assuming that we are seeing a completely new Af module with more AF points (more than the 33 of the most advanced one as we speak) I would expect a downgraded/simpler module of this latest Af technology on an future entry level Pentax camera with less Af points. That way it would be both cheaper and more advanced and would offer a significantly upgraded camera (that would attract more sales).
I don't expect any such thing, so when it happens it will be a pleasant surprise

I think it's more likely that when (if) the K70 sequel ever comes out it will have a simplified version of the current K3/K3 II auto focus module. That certainly would be better than many of the other entry level ILCs on the market.

My guess is the majority of that stuff is cut and paste from previous ones with changes being made only where necessary.
Certainly cut and paste will be used but it's still going to take a lot of checking, buttons moving, menu positions moving, values changing, new functions added, old functions removed or changed all while translating.
Often translating from a translation too, I would guess.

Same here. And for the lenses, even under heavy rain.

Once, with just mild rain, a guy passing by commented that he did that with his Sony and it died.
He walked on before I had time to reply "That's why they say 'It's a Sony!'"

It's a working sample (there are several of them, actually), not a mock-up.

Have we seen it working, though? Or is it speculation? I'm not saying it *isn't* but AFAIK there has been no demonstration of it being turned on.

A white label on the bottom with 'WS' written on it, what do you think it is?

Huh, then I've missed that one, because the only white label I seen is the pixelated. Do you have a link?

*Backtracks through thread in the meantime.

Not necessarily, at least not in the hands of third parties (people other than Ricoh employees). The K-1 working samples were lent to third parties approximately one month after being showcased at PhotoPlus Expo and Salon de la Photo 2015.
