Q: What are the functions of the two "extra" dials?
Exactly the same as with the K-1.

Don't see a button on the rear to switch between SD cards, like the K-3/K-1 has.
Joystick could be used for that.

The pictured prototype has a mirror - I wonder if it is a functioning prototype.
That is just a ruse. Designed to fool people into thinking its not mirrorless! haha

Yep, and the "prism housing" is actually a clever hiding place with flip-up lid for breath mints.

Not a lens.
Button on the back looks like an AF point selector. Could be a very nice Tele camera.

It is pretty much as I have expected, both design and release date.

The design is like a K3II with some DNA from K1.
Although I had hoped for some more DNA so it could have a variable angle LCD. Which is maybe the one thing I miss most on my K3II.

The green button have been moved to a less than ideal position. It is placed like on the battery grip on K3II which is more difficult to reach than the button on the camera. I can understand why, as they wanted the new joystick to have the ideal position.

Joystick for focus point selection?

It doesn't make much sense for menu navigation, given the arrow pad is still there

Maybe we get a K-1 Mark III with joystick too?

Nice!
The prism hump is smaller/less protruding than the K-3 series.Wonder what that means.

I'm really impressed they seem to be going for fixed LCD. Thats always been on my wishlist for the next Pentax.

I'm going to guess touch-screen too, based on what looks like a proximity sensor for touch-screen auto on/off directly below the viewfinder.
Good point.

Cool, some sign of life!

Joystick
Fixed Rear Screen
New top dial, no two top dials. Basically a KP setup?
Smaller top LCD screen.

Thoughts, is this finally a K-3 successor, built on a KP concept?
Max shutter speed, faster burst rate, larger buffer, twin card slots but with KP features of pixel shift etc.

No mention of video specs, well any specs really.

I'm glad to see anything new really at this stage.

"The designs and specifications are identical to those first announced publicly..."

No one seems have mentioned exactly what those specs are on this thread. (Maybe I missed it — very possible).

Where can we find them? Or is there really much released yet in the way of "specs"?
