I thought that might be an explanation for how there's a small door, yet room for two cards.

Wait wait wait, the third dial isn't a third dial but the video/LV selector?.
Don't foget the joystick adds an extra level of control. It only has to move AF points while you're shooting 😉

Yeah, you might be able to change what the third wheel does with the joystick or, worst case scenario, in menus. I know I would leave it in either ISO (for M mode) or +-EV for all the Priority modes, so it wouldn't be a huge hassle for me.

Kimio Tanaka posted four details on Tweeter and pointed out that the GUI could have been 'substantially modified'.

There appears to be a rocker switch/button on the top deck between the shutter button and corner dial.

Really good news! Happy to have that doom and gloom over. There is going to be lot of new things coming! Happy about photo/lv/video switch. Does this meen that whee next to it will change modes in those. Like it does now with. K-1. These new things will be inherited to next K-1. Perhaps hybrid VF ?

So much looking forward for the specs!

Ah. There is a button for unnamed top wheel. S.Fn! So you press that and perhaps on top display you’ll get SR/grid/...

I’m so lucky for living in Japan and have applied for this 100 years anniversary meeting, I will take some shots and bring more information about this prototype for this forum. ・:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+

That could be made really flexible. Perhaps you can customize which functions to contol with the top wheel, and they could be different for OVF/LV/Video.

It could make it an improvement over a dial with fixed options like on K1.

Lens mount light under the P in Pentax? See Tanaka's detail with shutter button. A hole of some sort anyway.

Looks like it could be a second joystick.

I rately use that wheen for more than SR/crop/bracketting. So maybe wheel for that lv/P/V wheel and with s.Fn it will be something else too. Handy.

Joystic sounds like good idea. Also people sound happy with their GR so perhaps there is functions from that screen at here.

Excellent! Looks very much like a continuation of the K-7/K-5/K-3 line but with KP bells and whistles (and hopefully accelerators). And we K-3II-ers are already used to no pop-up flash!

It’ll be fascinating to ultimately see how the control interface works; there’s what looks like a GPS lamp but with no obvious switch - but there’s a button with a padlock on it! Intriguing. It surely will have two card slots, it’s just not yet clear how you switch between them.

On the first picture (the only one that shows the front non-grip side of the camera), it seems to me that there’s probably already a model designation on it, which has been covered by a piece of black tape - what do you think?

No it is ’just’ a button.

Sounds like it, it looks like the K-1 one (and there's no reason for it not to be included)

Looks substantially different, however... it's larger and has a different shape. All the other buttons are basically identical.
