Honestly i fast forward to when he flogs himself with the Canon cripple hammer and once that's over i close the video. So usually under 10 seconds of actual view time.

Maybe it’s not a pop out screen but a dedicated button to switch from OVF to EVF really fast?

PS Pentax has prior experience with EVF if we look back to the XG-1

Personally, I like the digital camera names that reference their film predecessors. Olympus, in particular, did a nice job with that with Pen and OM-D.
