(He hikes a lot, like seriously a lot, and I can understand that having a NEX-6 plus 16-50 and 55-210 lenses for less than what my K-1 without battery weighs is a blessing there).

The important thing is you like what you have and you're happy with it.

Exactly! I'm definitely happy. Any failings of the camera are, under scrutiny, actually "ooops" moments due to misfire of the operator's brain

As I said in my prior post, when the news first came out, I am a little leary of spending more on a line which may disappear. Yet, I own the K-7,K-3,K-3ii,K-1and have had the KD,K-5and K-5iis. Relax, It will not disappear. Doomsday is not here even though some have proclaimed it for a long time.

Being an international community, we cover a lot of time zones and therefore sleepy times - but to refer back a little while to discussions of the centenary events as evidence of continuing commitment to the Pentax brand by Ricoh - does anyone know if Hoya is doing anything?
