On a related note, several times I have been informed that my better half's tele lens is, in fact, substantially larger than mine.
Size isn't everything. It depends on how you use it....

Again, over at Pentaxmedicalforums.com: "Yeah, but we've been waiting for years for the next Pentax colonoskope! I was expecting a release, or at least an announcement about a release, this year, and now I hear they're spending dollars on charity!!?? I want a new colonoscope, and I want it now!!!"

Yes they are doing something, or rather their subsidiary Pentax Medical is:

$100,000 + max $25,000 additional... How generous.

Good point! I do that frequently, although last time I did that a couple of weeks ago, I was shooting in portrait mode and used the bottom of the camera for support against a wall (And then I managed to knock off the removable little thingy from my DFA 28-105 lens hood, and it dropped down on a street from a high tower! I ran down from the tower, and believe it or not, found the little thing immediately )
And you propped your camera up while on a high tower?? You're lucky you weren't picking up pieces of camera from down below.

Your hands are designed to grasp ball-shaped objects. The grips should be two baseballs. Or cricket balls.
My left hand is normally holding the lens or something in that vicinity - the left side of the camera can be completely straight as far as I'm concerned.

I would go against forum rules and public decency if I wrote here what my hands are designed to grasp but, whilst I'm straight, they are definitely curvy.
I don’t know why I automatically heard the “rim shot” when I read that...

“He’ll be here all month. Don’t forget to tip your waitress...”

Its about the totally inappropriate curve of the left side of the K-New which is never used to hold a DSLR body or it may be about the size of your tele lens or possibly a colonoscope??? I'm going back to the "Post Your Photo" section way too much confusion here even for me!

This meme hadn't made it to France or at least to me, thank you for enlightening me.

Huh, I thought it was "I'll be here all week, try the veal"... I guess it depends on what part of the Vegas strip you are on.

So, getting back to rumours about the new K series camera...

Is there anything to prove or disprove that it may have this sensor: https://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/products/common/pdf/IMX571BQR_Flyer.pdf

That flyer mentions ADC with up to 16 bit resolution. Along with this text:
The IMX571BQR is a diagonal 28.3 mm (Type 1.8) CMOS active pixel type image sensor with a square pixel array
and 26.11 M effective pixels. This sensor incorporates maximum 36 dB PGA circuit and 16-bit AID converter. 16-bit
digital output makes it possible to readout the signals of 26.11 M effective pixels at high-speed of 6.84 frame/s in still
picture mode. In addition, it realizes 12-bit digital output for high-speed 4K moving picture by window readout mode.
I'm not sure how much difference can be seen between 14 and 16 bit sampling, but I reckon the difference between 12 and 14 is noticeable when digging for shadow detail: hopefully Pentax will give us the full 16 bits, at least on slower frame rates. I suspect a top frame rate under 7fps will not please everyone, so maybe 14 bit at a faster FPS is possible.

I'm sure the 4K video option will also please some, if Pentax support it...

OK, you can get back to your colonoscopy now.
