If you check carefully with local introduced people, you still can find it, with a markup.
Could anyone get me one?

Yes, but there's no other choice.

there's the choice of not acquiring one - of using the perfectly functional one that came with your camera - or purchasing a replacement for about $5

It is clear some of us like the special Pentax commémoratives and some don't. Obviously anyone can use the plastic OEM one. But if one wants (clearly no one needs) the commemorative one, then there are limited choices.

My personnal choice is to help Ricoh Imaging continuing for hopefully our, but certainly my personnal pleasure.
This is why i buy anything i can and will use from them.

So it looks like at least some of the commemorative items will have a wider distribution than just Japan.

interesting, thank you for the tip. Will the hot shoe be the only commemorative item for sale during this event or will there be others?

Well the announcement on the Ricoh websites said a limit of 3000 worldwide. So Japan may have gotten the lion's share of the allocation but there are numbers available for other regions. Looks like the other regions won't be able to buy them online.

I want anything I can get in the US that has the AOCo logo. I would especially enjoy white or black transfers. A size suitable to stick on a car window would be special, but anything will do.

Not from Ricoh on-line; entirely possible that Japanese merchants will sell a few at places such as eBay. If you really want one, you may have to really work for it by searching and then 'pay through the nose'. Ricoh may have 'guaranteed' the value of these trinkets by keeping supply below demand.

Those were given away at one of the shows prior to the release of the K-1 mk2. You had to be there.
