One of the biggest camera stores online/with shop in sweden is listing the 60-250 as SEK 11,000. As a comparison, the 300/4 goes for SEK 11,800 in the same store.
The lens is of course not in stock but its an indication of the price at least

Yes, a bit cheaper than DA*300/4. Not in stock, but can make pre-order.

The observations made above would mean a price around $1000 in the US when comparing the price of the 300/4 at B&H (which is $1100). Not too bad is it?

Which with yesterdays fall of the swedish currency is easily translated to 1100 EUR.

it's currently listed in 26 online stores with a price between 1006€ and 1299€ in Germany. Some of them announce deliveries between 4 and 7 weeks, but I'm afraid that doesn't mean anything.

no, DA*300 F4 is currently listed at 927€ in the same stores. But of course, there is no guarantee the prices for 60-250 will not drop once the lense is available worldwide.

That would be fair. That's about what the Sigma 100-400 f/4 goes for in USD.
