I don't know but Nikon have plethora of x1.4, x1.7 and x2 converters that work fine with AF-S lenses.

Yes, with the appropriate adapter, even though M42 is a third-party mount for Nikon.

This was a design that unintentionally, or intentionally, got lost in the transition from Pentax Corporation to Hoya’s takeover, to the selling to Ricoh. At least the problems appear to have been recognized and taken care of with the release new lenses with DC, PLM or ring motor designs beginning with the 18-135 in 2010. That doesn’t absolve any of the three from how the issue was handled, but they’re not the first to do that.

MILCs generally have amazing compatibility with old lenses, far beyond what DSLRs can manage.

Among DSLRs, however, I like Pentax for old glass due to IBIS.

Yes.. new stabilised mirrorless cameras now play with strong cards in this adaptor game.

And we can see it on M42 lenses price. For example I bought my 58/2 44M4 Helios in "like unused new!" condition for 165kč which roughly was $8

Now? Wow! $40 or even more asked for that lens. Because many Sony/Fuji users can easily adapt these lenses and use them with nice results..
