Noticed no mention of the latest Ricoh financials on that ‘other site’, guess if it not bad news (like the others), it is not news

"The reports of my death were greatly exaggerated."

On a side note, I have noticed over the last year or so other brands having a number of "...is canikuji able to survive..." threads. Reminds me of Morbo.

IMHO a collaboration with Capture One (instead of Silkypix) would bring an added bonus for Pentax users, who would be happier, could spend more money. It is possible that only future cameras will be compatible with this software far better than the current version proposed by Pentax.

I doubt that’s going to happen, they don’t support the 645Z at all because it’s a competitor to the Phase One cameras.

For my K-1 Mark II, I currently have (modern glass in italics, AF glass in bold, but the rest isn't too shabby):

Samyang 12/2.8 Fisheye
Laowa 12/2.8
DFA 15-30/2.8
FA 20/2.8
FA* 24/2.0
DFA 24-70/2.8
K 28/2.0
DFA 28-105/3.5-5.6
FA 31/1.8 Limited
Sigma 35/1.4 Art
FA 43/1.9 Limited
A 50/1.2
FA 50/1.4
DFA* 50/1.4
Lomography Daguerreotype 64/2.9 Achromat
FA 77/1.8 Limited
F 85/2.8 Soft
FA* 85/1.4
DFA 100/2.8 macro WR
K 135/2.5
FA 135/2.8
DFA* 70-200/2.8
K 200/2.5
DA* 300/4.0
DFA 150-450/4.5-5.6

Quite decent, IMHO.

They support Fuji which has a camera in the same category, even more competitive.

That’s interesting, I wasn't aware that they support the Fuji MF models.

There is no mention of the latest Canon and Sony financials either, which were published respectively four days and two days before Ricoh's.

It very much depends on how much Ricoh are prepared to put on the table. There is an agreement between Phase One and Fujifilm and therefore Capture One supports the Fujifilm medium format cameras and their lenses. In addition, there is a version of Capture One Pro dedicated to Fujifilm products.

The Camera Market Needs Canon to Stop Drinking Its Own Kool-Aid

Seem Ricoh have the better solution keeping focus on limited camera.

What is this solution in the field of ILC? Do not do anything new innovative?

All dinosaurs disappeared, together with ammonites (marine mollusc animals), during the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event.

But I agree with you: gigantism is often the prelude to extinction. The Olympus OM-D E-M1X is therefore a bad sign.
