Today Ricoh announces new customizations available for its Pentax line of cameras. Pentax has always been a brand of
forward thinking, including the foresight to offer body color choices never dreamed about by other manufacturers and thus
cornering the market for Pink, Gray & Yellow cameras, (and many other colors and color combinations).

Sensing a hole in the marketplace, Pentax cameras will now be flavored. Touch your Pentax then lick your fingers for
a delightful taste of Strawberry Shortcake, Beef Wellington or Chicken Curry, (Spicy or Mild). Additional flavors will be
added in the future including Smoked Salmon and Pecan Pie.

Ricoh will be launching a new ad campaign to promote these new style choices along with a new catchphrase:
Tastes Like Pentax!
But you know that in the US they'll have to have a warning to not eat the camera

Warning: Pentax cameras are not intended for human consumption. Do not ingest Pentax cameras or components of Pentax cameras. Ingesting metal, glass, plastic, and other electronic components of Pentax cameras can lead to serious bodily harm, injury, and/or death. Ricoh, Ricoh Imaging, and its subsidiaries can not be held liable for any harm caused by the tasting, licking, or ingesting of any parts of its cameras or camera equipment.

And DPR and other reviewers will disparage Pentax for having a tasty camera but when Sony or Canon do it they'll praise it to no end claiming it's the first ever. And when corrected that Pentax did it first, they'll say that Sony or Canon implemented it better.

And PF members will complain that the Tempura and Sashimi flavors will be exclusively released in Japan, and not allowed to be exported (secret family recipe) though they will consider allowing export of the Asahi Beer flavor, since that is already being exported.

Meanwhile, other people who won't be buying the new camera will complain that the Savory Filet flavor isn't savory enough or that the Umami Ramen flavor isn't "Umami" enough. But the brandy flavor is just right!

It is times like this that make that 2020 release date seem so far away. This posting frenzy contest isn't helping matters much either. LOL!

Maybe someone recalls the cards one might buy to upgrade some features on Minolta Dynax film cameras.
We may get the same kind of things but with serial number or alike to unlock features. I think Panasonic already does to advanced video functions...

Sony's flavors will include "Astroberry", "Frootopular" and "Steaktastic". They will all have the same artificially sweetened plastic taste and yet
they'll still be praised for being revolutionary.

Enter the EU. This is where the flavours will be harmonised to comply with EU food safety standards and Leica will complain about these camera's not complying with the 14th century Reinheitsgebot resulting in a case in which the Court of Justice finds that requiring camera's to taste of only water, barley and hops is objectively justified.

The fine for Kinder Egg smuggling is $2500. Per egg.

And don't even try to get Bavarian smoked meats through US customs...

Everyone knows that if you're not born in Belgium and you're trying to sneak fruit flavors into a camera you're just going to end up with a mess that tastes like cough syrup.

Theyíll link it to the in-camera gps...
So upon entering Germany, thatís what youíll get.
Go to certain regions of France and youíll get localized grape varieties...
After waiting ages for the camera to update the firmware flavor profiles

Another Thread 'down the tubes' as Pentaxians think of clever things to say, even though they have nothing to add to the topic of when the "K-3ii replacement" will be delivered.
