In that case, maybe it would be wise not to talk at all about that. If Ricoh do not want to create expectations that could be unsatisfied, why do you?

Pentax's enthusiasm for perfection stopped everything. In February 2018, I saw the 50 and 11-18 test versions, but their release time was delayed too much. Pentax's unacceptable small defects are probably not a problem for sony or nikon.
fat 50 redesigned mechanical structure due to slight bending of the lens barrel
11-18 have some problems(pentax redesigned it)
70-200 F4 almost redesigned(not tokina)
Because two lenses were leaked on the Chinese network last year (the test photos of the lens were accidentally leaked to the camera forum in May), ricoh are now reluctant to talk too much about these things

Be patient my friend,GRIII even test photographers were scammed at launch time!
It seems that those DFA* lenses are designed to be highest quality lenses in every aspect that shall match even the future DSLRs from Pentax which will pack higher resolution sensors. I don’t see anything bad in this strategy. I prefer to buy a lens one year later knowing that will last and satisfy my needs for the rest of my life.

That's an early prototype. Three months earlier Yaotomi used a later version.

By that logic, K-380 probably wouldn't be a marketing win, either.

Passengers seem less worried by that one...

I'm not worried about the Pentax suddenly being hard to control. In fact, I think MartinKP did a super job on that one.

It is a great job - well beyond my photoshop-ing!

There is no difference between the two lenses from an optical point of view
From my perspective, No40037 has better optical performance.I compared the production version with a few of my friends, and the dispersion was worse after No402000.This may be explained by the differences in production, the quality of the first version is better

Well actually it will be an astounding market and technological success pushing the boundaries of what a DSLR can be but only after a difficult, long development period with budget and time overruns. It will garner high praise from DSLR experts and photographers but be too expensive for wide market acceptance. Thus it will be most widely used by a few wealthy photographers but will then be taken out of production a few years later due to unforeseen changes in consumer trends and the rising price of batteries.

Ok, here is the straight scoop on the name! Ricoh/Pentax is going to supply ten small pieces of tape with various names pre-printed so you can change the name any time you want, additionally you can purchase sheets of pre-cut blank tape so anyone can print their choice of names for the camera. Now that's innovation, a name your own camera!!

Gonna call mine Bob!

I'll just leave mine blank. If they ask me what model is my cam, I'll simply say Pentax blank.

That's it... it will be the K*ist

Right up until the point where someone notices it sounds like "kissed"...
