Harsh. Are you describing Pentaxforums or some other nefarious camera site?

I think most of the criticism voiced here is truly born out of frustration and not a deliberate attempt to trash the brand. Occasionally the
criticism is born of a misguided desire for a Canikony with a Pentax badge in which case said critic is perhaps better off with a Canikony.

A lot of the guys here talk out of frustrations. Some complain because the features they wanted weren't included. But, we've had trolls here before and everyone knew them by their posts. Especially when a new camera is introduced.

When I got my K5 after 3 years with K20D there also were some things to complain about

Unfortunately Pentax never produced perfect camera.

Absolutely true. The K-1, for example, is dense and, like most (all?) DSLRs, manual focus on fast glass is hit or miss due to the matte screen. It, however, has far less "cons" than most of the competition while having several advantages.

That is very true.
For example, a thread is still going here, originally started because the K-3 had "Ricoh" on the back of the K-3.
We had complaints because the K-3ii replaced the small flash by a GPS, and now there are complaints because Pentax apparently reversed that decision.
Complaints, complaints. complaints.

for buyers of all brands of cameras, as soon as it is rumored, the future model to be released is always hoped to be the perfect one. Somethings never change.

The only reason Pentax hasn't released a perfect camera is because my perfect camera is different than Fred's, and Fred's perfect
camera is different from Sally's, etc.........

I would prefer a GPS rather than built in flash on the K-New, but lack of either won't cause me to make stink. If the combined
package looks attractive as an upgrade from my K-3, I'll buy it. If not, not. Simple.

Actually, Nikon users had a "Street Party" for a few days after the D850 was released - the "perfect camera for all professionals" ..... for a few days at least until Sony released an even better one.

So it appears that you have never used a K1-II or a 645Z.

His point was about complaints - and I remember of whole hail of complaints once people understood the 'accelerator' and that even their 'raw' files were affected - when the K-1ii was released.

I'm not sure this thread is much worth following once you understand that the OP - in Japan - expects the camera later than we had been expecting it.

Now - whether not you get this depends on whether I'm one of those who receives the patented treatment.
