Yeh, I've already submitted my booking for 2119. You may think I'm being a bit optimistic, ..... but I have faith that Pentax will last that long.

I’m very happy to see Pentax still has so many users out of Japan in the world
Even in Japan Pentax now is a maverick group. I’m afraid of the future of this brand, for it can’t attract younger users

My daughter is 23 - she uses a K-50. But generational influences are evidently not that strong, given how many people have used Pentax historically. Going forward there will be an inexorable reduction in the use of 'proper' cameras, given how good 'phones are these days. If Ricoh can maintain enough sales to continue having a presence, I expect there will continue to be users who appreciate the IQ and ruggedness of their Pentax branded DSLRs. Not everyone on this forum is retired (yet)!
