These days, you could simply check Wikipedia:

17 December.

2001: Optio 330 and 430 – Pentax introduced the first digital cameras for a wide audience. PENTAX continued the tradition of compact and lightweight camera construction in this market segment with the size of the two cameras.

They seem to repeat “compact and lightweight camera construction” over and over again. I wonder why - the “K-3ii replacement” surely isn’t.

It's quite compact; lightweight, I doubt it.

However, Ricoh Imaging have to sell Pentax K-70 and KP cameras too.

If we ask for more functions, more electronics are needed. Therefore more weight.

I think the K-01 still holds the title of 'most compact & lightweight Pentax DSLR', although the K-S1 and K-x come very close. I wonder if the K-01 will feature in the advent calendar.

Though the K-01 isn't strictly a DSLR...

I think the K-S1 was advertised as smallest/lightest...

But if you just want smallest/lightest Pentax interchangeable lens camera, the Q would be it (or the old 110 for film...)

18 December. Ricoh Imaging Europe were late again.

2003: Optio S – New technology in the sliding lens system made it possible to reduce the size of the camera once again and set new standards in terms of dimensions and weight.

Odd choice, considering the *ist D was launched in 2003...

Thank you for continuing to follow this stream - and to report it to us.

According to Wikipedia, the *ist D was the lightest of its time, but apparently that was not enough for the authors of this stream. For some reason they seem to be emphasizing Pentax's history of 'small and light'.

I am betting on the Q making it there. Considering the focus on "small and light" they might even announce the return of the Q series as a Christmas gift

19 December:

2006: PENTAX K-10 – This camera was a milestone and trailblazing for future D-SLR technology at Pentax. It was the first camera of its kind to feature shake reduction integrated into the casing together with dust and moisture protection.

Note the error on the camera's name: K-10 instead of K10D (without hyphen).

Error that is, in fact, replicated through the 3 languages available.

The camera, however, was clearly not an error . The specs are impressive for 2006.

Note also the front stencil on the camera itself reads only "K10" while the bottom plate label reads "K10D".
