Five hundred posts later. I think I am at risk of RSI from all the typing and clicking.

There is still enough time to do 98 more posts for another entry...
Still enough time for 98 more posts? In 3 days? I have that many left to go for a 2nd entry and it took me nearly half the month to get the first. (And I realize this post doesn't count)

I was thinking the 10th also, but even the actual date of the 9th leaves 12 days after today. 37 of us posted on the first 12 days, so good use can be made of the last 12 days also.

Now we have only about 11 days to go - but 10 per day is easy, just comment on 10 photos each day.

Haven't got a answer to a question about how the APS-C is in winter weather. Can someone tell me how well it works in cold weather?

In cold weather, my KP works better than I do. Honestly, I have been taking photographs in Winter weather here {average is around 30 F at this time of year} for many years now, and I have never had a camera fail because of coldness. Of course, Finnish member @MJKoski operates in colder environs routinely. Nobody here will admit to having used the "K-3ii replacement" camera yet.

All you need is ninety more posts in the next ten days to qualify for the flagship - I got my one hundred in less time, so no reason why your shouldn't. Good Luck in your quest!

Both APS-C flagship bodies I have used, the K-7 and the K-3, have been promoted as working till -10 C (14 F). The images below were taken on a glorious but for the Lower Rhine freezing-cold December morning, at what the car thermometer later confirmed must have been around -9 C (16 F). The K-7 performed flawlessly under these conditions, apart from (likely user-induced) condensation in the viewfinder and on the lens (half an hour into the shoot). Frankly, the most limiting factor on this occasion was actually the photographer, who on the way back in the car groaned in pain while the blood slowly returned to his extremities.

I have no reason to doubt that the upcoming APS-C flagship won't be any different from its rugged predecessors in that regard. If you plan on using your gear routinely under freezing conditions, however, you should take the usual precautions as to slowly re-adjusting the camera to room temperature to avoid internal corrosion from condensation, carrying spare batteries, etc.

Since my K-50 stands up in the old, just in a wee camera pouch on my chest, I don't think, I'd worry about the new flagship.
This was taken around -20C (-4F):

I know that my K-3II has outlasted me on a very cold, bitter windy beach. Temperature was probably only down in the 20's but I was freezing and my camera and lenses worked fine. Despite being heavily dressed for it, I ran off the beach and admitted defeat before my camera did.

Out of curiosity, I found some history about the subject in the photo.
