Ten more lenses would be nice.
I would also appreciate a bellows that can work with the new lenses. It should be easy enough, it's fly by wire control now.
They could be working up and down from the D*FA*50. If that’s the case, I wouldn’t be holding my breath on anything quite as short as a 15, but you never know. In the meantime, I’ll continue to use my Irix 15 – the lack of AF is only an issue when I move from another FL that has AF, and forget to manually focus for the first couple of shots.

The 70-210/4 officially went on sale yesterday in Japan.

Here is a report with some samples around the area of the Akashi Kaikyo bridge. Unfortunately, the samples aren't full size but they do show a variety of light conditions and subjects.

HD PENTAX-D FA 70-210mm F4 ED SDM WR ???????? ? ?? ???? 2020 - ????

That's a real bargain for you folks over there. I trust it'll sell very well with that pricing...

I've never understood British prices. They just don't seem to make any sense! Who's skimming the cream?

VAT at 20%, for a start. Australia’s equivalent is 10%. Exchange rates work out around the same, looking three ways, so nothing much there. The rest must simply be the relative costs of doing business.

Prices here are influenced by a number of factors... including, but not limited to, foreign exchange rates, import duties (based on trade and customs agreements - but let's not go there ), VAT (usually 20%), and - frankly - what the manufacturer thinks folks here will pay based on sales of earlier products.

We're particularly expensive on electronic goods. Cars too... also public transport, fuel and energy. But it's a swings and roundabouts thing... Food and drink can be competitively priced, so too clothes etc... and, outside of London and the other bigger cities, cost of living isn't bad for someone on average income. I'd like to think we're more-or-less comparable to other civilised countries...

Just checked the Ricoh Imaging French site - price is '1 199,00 €' and French sales tax is included (20%).

At roughly 1.20 EUR to 1.00 GBP, it's cheaper to get a day return trip to France to buy the D-FA 70-210 than get it here in UK... (Return flights LGW-CDG can be less than £60)

Even easier: Amazon.fr - 1 193,70 € with free delivery...

I must resist!!!

In Romania the Pentax 70-210mm f4 lens is:
- 250$ cheaper than Canon 70-200mm f4L IS USM II
- 300$ more expensive than Canon 70-200mm f4L IS USM
- 320$ cheaper than Nikon 70-200mm f4G ED VR
- 200$ cheaper than Sony 70-200mm f4G OSS
- 530$ more expensive than Tamron 70-210mm f4

Considering it is a new released lens compared to the others, it's not a bad price...

Yeah the Aus pricing is very tempting, especially when seeing what similar things for the k mount are going for. Seems a no brainer for someone that needs more reach (me!) then the 28-105 gives on the K1. I'd love a 2.8 but its a lot of money, and a lot of lens.
