Condolences to Mr. Bourque's family. I continue to find his K-70 book immensely helpful.

Thank you everyone for your sweet condolences. I just found this thread and it brought me to tears. I miss him immensely every day. He was a smart, very hardworking and dedicated to anything and everything he did. He loved writing those books and I’m grateful he did so that he will live on. I hope he’s taking some beautiful pictures up there to pass the time. <3

Hi Marisa, I hope that you and the family are coping with your loss. Yvon is remembered every time one of his wonderful books is used.

Hello Marisa, and thank you so much for posting - it's good to hear from you. I'm glad you've read how valued Yvon was by this community, and know how his ebooks are continuing to help so many here. They're quite the legacy.

I hope you'll drop by from time-to-time and let us know how you're getting on. My warmest wishes to you and the family.

The most that we can hope for is to leave a mark, and Yvon certainly did that. I hope he's taking some beautiful photos too...

I will certainly drop in! My Dad passed the love of photography (and Pentax) on to me. ❤️ I am still nowhere near being used to life without him, but this is all very heartwarming.

Condolences Marisa on the death of your father. I am one of many people who benefitted from his books and his love of photography was clear in his writing. He will be missed by all of us on the Forum.

Marisa, my deepest sympathy for your loss of your father. We all mourn with you; but he will remain a part of all of us that have his books. He had such a way of writing, that made it very easy for all to soak in his knowledge and use it to take better photos. He lives on, in all of us.

Please take care!

I'm very sorry to say that I've learned that our well-liked Pentax eBook author, Yvon Bourque, passed away in late January. There has not yet been a memorial service, so I plan to sent flowers on behalf of the forum once I learn more.
Please feel free to share your thoughts in this thread and I will forward them to Yvon's family.

In the mean time, the eBooks will remain available and Yvon's family would like to carry on his legacy.
Thank you so much. This is his grandson (and only boy he ever had) please note what’s around Henry’s neck! 💙📷
