Wasn’t it discontinued shortly after K1mk II hit the stock? I remember seeing it in discontinued section year ago.

There hasn't been new stock from any of the main sellers for a long time. You can probably find a new K-1 out there somewhere, but places like B and H and Adorama have been sold out of them for a long time and listed them as discontinued.

So K-1 was announced mid Feb 2016, and now mid Feb 2020 it is discontinued - 4 years.
It's a classic and had a good life. RIP K-1.

This might never happen. The price of the K1 went down after the K1 mk II started to sell, but went back up again due to some customers preferring the version without the accelerator chip. Now both K1 and K1 II sell at the same price new.
