There was a super telephoto in the latest Pentax Lens Roadmap, which I assume means 400mm or longer. I wouldn't expect it anytime soon though.

The roadmap lists it as a DA only, not a DA*, so we can't be sure about it being a DA*.

ehhh don't hold your breath. the DA* 60-250 was announced at photokina 2 years ago and it's still not available yet... it's fun sometimes to look back at old posts and people were holding out for it when the K10D just came out.

A 3X 135-400 zoom would be nice ...especially if it were a DA* ..but that would probably mean a fixed f4 aperture and that would be a very large lens. Still I would be interested.

But you could hope that it would be a 500/4.5 or something like that ;D

There was a log lens on the road map but that roadmad dissapeared rather quickly.

The most updated roadmap has "DA Supertelephoto" on it still.

I hope it is NOT a DA* as I'd like to be able to afford it. I'd like something between consumer-grade (DA 55-300) and a *-grade.
