Google Traduction is your friend... News in fews days.
The translation of that page suggests that a video showing the lens and the next APS-C body will be shown on the 15th May. Of course, that may turn out to be an official announcement of either a production run or an availability date. Only another day to go, and we’ll know.

Not getting into whether the export/import laws for private owners are fair, but that option is illegal and Customs (at least in a bunch of European countries, not sure about Aus/NZ specifically) can say "lol nope, this is a lot of money" and slap the appropriate VAT on it regardless.

Does CR Kennedy not ship to NZ?
The NZ CRK office helped me order a bunch of Pentax 100 year anniversary merch from their Aus branch a few months ago. They don't carry Pentax stock on hand but if you get in touch with their sales team they might be able to help you out.

Very nice to know, thanks!

I take it you only had to pay NZ GST, right?

As Serkevan wrote, that would be quite risky and if deemed as an attempt to circumvent regulations may attract fines.

Yeah, more or less. Prices were adjusted for currency differences at the time but they didn't really charge anything additional like international shipping and stuff for ordering the stuff from Aus (I guess it comes in together with their other usual stuff).

The 85 having a concave front element is pretty exciting. I have the Zeiss Ultron 50/1.8 and it's a magical lens, probably the only MF lens that I would consider on par with my 43 limited. Now, I'm sure it takes more than a concave front element but it makes the D-FA stand out a fair bit and I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures from it. It's probably too pricey and I like my DA70 limited so much that so far I haven't even bought a FA 77 limited. The D-FA21 limited however fills a gap in my lineup...

Well, if you take the attributes of the DFA* 50 and adjust focal length to 85mm then that just has to happen. Longer focal length allows for more subject separation.

Dream cream is a word that does not sound positive talking about a lens.
Sure it will be apochromatic design. You want, l those color rays meet in the same spot and no happy fringes.

The dfa 50 isn't well corrected for pf and loca even if forum members claim it is. By the sounds of it the dfa 85 will be better corrected.

I think that many forum members are saying they have to look hard and often to find any. That’s certainly the case with my copy.
