Seems clear enough. Some of these new ones just became more interesting provided they do not mess with some funky coating.

Remember the saying about watches where you don't own one but just take care of it for the next generation?
I'd like to think the same for old lenses.

So price wise, legacy wise, authenticity wise, I'd rather get the old version of these lenses.
Value wise, these lenses are not technically great if one was to look at the bean counter side of this (ie. coma, sharpness, flare )

Indeed and many watchmakers are similarly reissuing old models or launching 'vintage' models inspired from their past: Blancpain Air Command, Breitling Ref.765 AVI 1953 Re-edition, Cartier Santos Dumont XL, IWC Portuguese Chronograph, Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, Seiko Prospex 1965 Recreation, TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Silver Limited Edition, just to name a few.

So, Vintage has some momentum again, but for me there's no such point as to buy "new" vintage... i prefer the authentic !

I wouldn't say "nice" but rather "onion" like bokeh.

I'd enjoy shooting one of these for an afternoon. But after that my guess is it would be a shelfie.

Personally, I'm more interested in Primoplan 75.
