I beg to differ. I have seen quite a bit of outdoor portraiture where the background is very well separated, especially with 24/1.4 lenses.
This one of mine is indoors of course, but if I had more faith in my FA*24 I would have preferred to shoot this wide open. The DFA21 Limited might be able to provide that confidence.
This one is wide open, but on a crop camera. On FF it would be almost half body, but I don't think that would be a problem.
And outdoors, getting some background blur is easy. Even at f/5.6 on a crop camera. I wish I had the K-1 that day - I reckon closer in and f/2.8 with a wider view of the background would have worked perfectly.
These two are wide open, and again, although I love them, getting closer with a full frame body would probably have made these better.
