This is presumably the full-frame ~70-300 mm zoom lens that's been on the lens roadmap for some time. Not * or Limited, I hope it's something like the 28-105 in build and quality, and more affordable than some of the recent FF offerings.

A patent isn't much of an indication that it's well underway though. It could be years off.

Of course, the application was made about a year and a half ago.

@OoKU Do we have a link to the actual Japanese patent application?

(43) [Open Day] Order and June 4, 2nd (2020.6.4)

(54) [Name of Invention] Zoom lens system and its photographic device

(21) [Application No.] Special Publication 2018-224783 (P2018-224783)

(22) [application date] November 30, 2010 (2018.11.30)

(71)【Applicant】

【Identification Number】000006747

【Name】Ricoh Corporation

(72)【Inventor】

【Name】Sudo Yoshimoto

(72)【Inventor】

[Name] Koga Chiya

(57) [Overview]

[Problem] To

provide a zoom lens system that can correct various aberrations well, and to achieve miniaturization and weight reduction, and a photographing device with this function.

[Solution] For the

object, the positive first lens group, the negative second lens group, the subsequent lens group, the second lens group, from the object side, the negative second lens group, the negative second b group and lens composition, subsequent lens group, aperture stop and at least two lens groups, when the wide end to the phone end zoom, the interval between the first lens group and 2 a lens group increases, the second lens group and 2 b The interval of the lens group is changed or fixed, and the interval between the second b group and the subsequent lens group of the lens is reduced. The 2a lens group is composed of a negative lens and a positive lens in order from the object side. The 2a lens group includes a lens perpendicular to the optical axis Move in component ways.

Detailed description of the invention

【Technical Field】

【0001】
The zoom lens system and the imaging device comprises Technical Field The present invention relates to a zoom lens system includes a zoom lens system and the zoom lens system is provided photographic apparatus

【Background technique】

【0002】
Example e.g., in recent years, users of the telephoto zoom lens system for a single lens reflex camera, various demands. Among them, the demand for high performance is high. In terms of higher performance, in addition to having a resolution corresponding to an image sensor with at least 30 million pixels, from the full aperture, high contrast and almost no point image collapse to the viewing angle and chromatic aberration there is almost no reduction phenomenon.
If there is a large part of the difference in brightness, unnecessary coloration will not occur, and there will be less distortion, straight lines, straight lines, etc. may be required as descriptions.

【0003】
In addition, in the case of shooting with a hand-held camera, if the exposure time becomes longer, there is a possibility that the captured image will be shaken due to hand shake. Therefore, an anti-shake mechanism that corrects the blurred image is required . In the case of hand shake at the same angle, the longer the focal length, the larger the image shake. Therefore, it is expected that the image shake can be corrected more effectively on the long focal length end side (telephoto end side).

There are 7 design cases in this optical patent, which are basically around the focal length of 70-300
The following picture is one of the cases

An optical stabilization, for the double IBIS + OIS goodness. Can't wait to see how it works!

This is a very interesting find. That Ricoh is working on a 70-300 lens is not surprising. It's indicated on the roadmap. But the SR technology is unexpected. Some other companies are combining IBIS and OIS in their systems, and this shows that Ricoh is not going to let them get ahead.

It is not like Pentax has not had any SR in lens before, but that sounds quite new thing still. In lens SR. This lens has been on my to buy list. To go with my 28-105. To be my lightweight trip kit when abroad.

It's certainly going to be FF lens, but I wonder if it's going to be worth a buy for crop sensor cameras. 55-300 PLM is a marvel in its class and difficult to beat, unless the new 70-300 will have better aperture in addition to optical SR.

Nice.

Ricoh has a number of lenses in the works that will eventually find their way into my home and this is one of them. The 21 and 85 are likely purchases as well. Nice to see some information on what they have been working on for the last couple of years.

Well, if this translates to an actual lens, it will be another great thing... Lens-SR is better for teles, the stabilized viewfinder would be an improvement.
If they manage to make it PLM-like in performance (but fully 24x36-compatible), at a slightly larger size, there's a winner there.
