OK, but it's a valid point that a camera on the end of a one metre stick with a tiny tripod base is going to be unstable in the slightest breeze or uneven surface. The camera doesn't weigh much, so a circular weight is a cheap and simple solution to an expensive problem.

Just as a note: the weight bags are still "preorder". So, I went ahead and got this: Stand Weight TSW10 | ACCESSORIES | ACCESSORIES | PRODUCTS | TAMA Drums

It's for drum sets, but works like a charm. Available from Amazon & either B&H or Adorama, forget which, plus probably music stores. About the same price, slightly cheaper. The only ding is that it says TAMA in bold white letters, so, just use it upside down or black the letters out.

Also, where applicable, some gaff tape on the feet works well.
