Crikey - some of us have been busy, last time I looked there was only about 4.25m of us!

According to wikipedia the June 2008 estimate is 4.268 million Kiwis. Where are the others hiding?

To adapt a quote a former prime minister of NZ, Rob Muldoon, the other 2 million nzers are living in Australia, thereby raising the average IQ of both countries. (Think about it)

I saw it to - the the two horses separated by a nose hair and that great Caption "Pentax -Make No Mistake" it was awesome.

In Perth we were also getting a Pentax ad every break in conjunction with Dick Smith Stores - they heavily promoted the K200D. It wasn't just a plain retail ad either it was a quality production, a fair bit of money and thought had gone into the ad.

For those that don't know about it the Melbourne Cup Horse race basically stops the nation and is also very popular in New Zealand as well - so it would be safe to say that a significant amount of the Australian population were exposed to the Pentax brand today.

K200D won a award in Which Camera as best entry level

cheers

Pentax Plate

Oaks Day. The Pentax Plate and the Crown Oaks. I am going to attempt punting a lobster and turning it into a K20D. Stay tuned.

Speaking of Pentax, walked into a Retravision store in Victor Harbor, 80k south of Adelaide, the other day and they had copies of the full K20D/K200D brochure on display. They had only just received them and knew nothing about the cameras but apparenlty Retravision is going to market them.

For non OZ readers, Retravision is a white/electronic goods chainstore.

Looks like CR Kennedy are expanding their Pentax business.
Take Care

Great, but not the sort of place I'd buy from, or even look at for a camera. Just because I'd never think they'd have decent cameras!

interesting regarding the Retravision thing as last night my kids school had a promo where you buy stuff at the local retravision and they get a portion of the profits. I bought a PVR (set top box with hard disk), they had it on their computer for $799, I had an advert from another place in my pocket for $689, and the price they gave me was $625, which I reckon you'd get even without the school deal. Worth remembering for the future (K30D)

This made me laugh... I am reminded of "The Flight of the Conchords."
