KP 132 x 101 x 76 mm
K-3II 131 x 100 x 77 mm
K-5II 131 x 97 x 73 mm
So, the KP is bigger in size compared to the K-3II but is much lighter. Wow!!! Can they make this K-new lighter as well? I'd like it to be much lighter.

Yes, I posted them earlier.

Because it depends *where* you measure. The KP's thickest part (and the K-1's, for that matter, despite having a deep grip) is the line from the back of the eyepiece to the end of the prism overhang - and the prism housing is also a smidgen taller. The KP has a bit less volume than the K-3 I reckon.

It's not a sticker; is an image which will be displayed on request, like on the GR III.
I just checked and the K-1 also has it. Same black stripes under and over the label and all.

Spot on.
Pentax K-3 II and Pentax KP are the same width (131.5 mm) and K3 II is 1% (1.5 mm) taller than Pentax KP.
Pentax K-3 II is 2% (1.5 mm) thicker than Pentax KP.
Pentax K-3 II [785 g] weights 12% (82 grams) more than Pentax KP [703 g] (*inc. batteries and memory card).

Fun Fact: Much is made of how compact the KP is but the K-70 is even more so.
- Pentax K-70 is 5% (6 mm) narrower and 8% (8 mm) shorter than Pentax KP.
- Pentax K-70 is 3% (2 mm) thinner than Pentax KP.
- Pentax K-70 [688 g] weights 2% (15 grams) less than Pentax KP [703 g] (*inc. batteries and memory card).
Snipped quote: "It's like holding a camera without holding a camera!"

Pentax has been going for "compact" for some time now.

Just 2 ounces? I guess I didn't look earlier and just assumed from a previous comment that it was much more than that. Thanks!

I was surprised the difference was so minimal. If you add the respective battery to each camera, the difference increases to 3 ounces.*

If we want that lovely pentaprism and solid build, we're just going to have to carry that weight

*The KP's weight will vary by which grip is used, obviously. I'm assuming the weight measurement for the KP is with the smallest grip.

Gosh I'm only 74 I don't see how you older guys are going to be able to handle all that weight. Maybe hire a porter to carry all that tonnage?

No offense to FF users. That's why I don't like their system. You'll need a Samsonite to lug your system around. Have mercy on me!!!

The KP is lighter than the K3 mark II by 57 grams, OK . But let's not forget it has a smaller grip, a smaller battery, and its shell is not completely made of alloy, but incorporates fair share of plastic.

My full frame bag weighs 23.4 pounds. That takes me from 15mm up to 200mm in 8 lenses plus the K1 and grip and some filters.
But its worth it.
