D-BG8 (KP battery grip) - handy.
WiFi and Bluetooth specs will hopefully be updated - but that may require re-certification, so probably won't happen before release.

KP grip is coded DBG-7.
Actually to reuse KP grip does not make any sense to me, as K-new uses joystick controls and DBG-7 does not and function wheel is placed differently.

Ooops. A mistake to call it the same as the KP grip.

Agree that keeping the grip the same would also be a mistake if the K-new control layout is so different from previous bodies.

Ideally, every battery grip since the K-7 should have stayed the same, but alas every new body requires a new [& expensive] grip.

I believe that is the date that the FCC needs to keep documentation related to the camera confidental. Not necessarily the release date of the camera. The FCC application for the GRIII listed a confidentiality release date of 4/30/2019, while the camera itself was released/shipped on March 18th. So a 24 January 2021 date for K-new could still mean a release prior to Christmas.
