I don't recall Pentax ever introducing a new camera like this. Pretty cool!

A slow-burn release with lots of teasers is done partly out of necessity, I think. Covid 19 led to the cancellation of CP+ Feb 2020 (meant to be the original K-new launch event). And a lot of the Philippines has been in Covid shutdown too, which probably impacted Ricoh's ability to fully ramp up camera production this year.

I honestly can't imagine why they'd still be concealing the name if it were so banal - the only logical reason to me is that it goes back to the old Pentax tradition of the name being relevant to some iimportant feature of the camera - but who knows? - since when did logic determine camera model names?

It's because as soon as they disclose the name, certain unscrupulous retailers would be able to put up a page and start taking 'pre-orders', which would not be fair to the legitimate retailers that play by the rules. In this case they have already shown clear images of the product, so it would be possible to build quite a credible looking page for the product.

I don't think they'll call it K-3 III. The II cameras have always been minor changes to an existing body, and this is clearly a whole different shape.

Thank you. So, I guess I've seen the two videos (plus the intro video which had minimal info, I thought). That is indeed "multiple videos," being more than one! I just worried from the use of the word, that there had been several I had missed. Cheers!
