Hahaha wow! THAT is a bold claim! I think we all agree that this thing will have a back screen.

My snozz is by no means large but it sticks out more than 3mm even with my face tilted to bring my eye closer to the eyepiece.

As for a movable screen, based on the photos of the various prototypes I've long given up on there being one. Hope springs eternal for many. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong should the production camera have a moveable screen.

That's not 3mm, but 3 extra mm - you have to add the eyepiece, too.

Folks, why don't we wait for the production camera to reach the market? I do hope that would be enough to quench speculations...
Where's the fun in that?

Where is the "fun" in speculating??
It will come when it is ready - and then we won't have to speculate - and the threads can turn to complaining.

Well I just learned that I can turn the back screen off with a half press of the shutter button on my K-1 while all the time I have been pressing the menu button twice. I have been using top end Pentax cameras since the K10D and now I find this out .....

Personally I can't see the point of the eye sensor.

You ate a word, so you were saying it looks like the camera won't have an LCD screen *at all*

But why is there a notch on the back in the two views from the bottom of the camera, that the K-3 doesn't have? That could be where you can pull out the screen with your fingernail.

I am 100% categorically without a doubt uncertain that there is not a non articulating screen there, or not.

or it could be nothing.
All this speculation is nothing more than hot air.
We will know when the camera is released.
