Silver limited editions coming out: K-1 II + DFA Stars

The Silver editions of the K-1 II and three DFA* lenses are going to be released soon, as shown in the recent interview video.

Nokishita Camera is reporting:

September 25
K-1 II Silver (Qty. 1,000) - JPY 269,500 (presumably with silver grip)
DFA* 70-200 Silver (Qty. 600) - JPY 272,800
DFA* 50 Silver (Qty. 600) - JPY 158, 400

Twitter

Late January 2021
DFA* 85 Silver - JPY 255,200

These images are from an older digicame-infor story from around the time of the video.
?????APS-C???????????????? - ????info

I want to remind everyone that Japanese catalogue prices are always high. For example the DFA* 50 is JPY 151, 250 on the Ricoh Store. So these carry some premium over the standard black ones, but not as much as might first meet the eye.

A small silver lens can look elegant.

I just noticed there is something else in those tweets about a new battery charger and charger kit coming out in the next few days - D-BC177 and K-BC177J

I'm not sure what those would refer to. Perhaps for updated versions of the battery used in the larger K-mount cameras?

Love the silver look on lenses. I miss DCShooter and his impeccable silvering skills... I have a bunch of lenses I wanted him to refinish for me, but he fell off the radar.

Perhaps silver to colour coordinate with the camera and lenses.

He did an SMC 15mm Limited for me that was fantastic.

FA 80-320 / 4.5-5.6, my silver telephoto lens that I calibrated in the IMM version (I am a master) , I read the calibration instructions here on the forum how to do it
, is over 20 years old and fits perfectly with its optical and construction capabilities with a replacement lens hood-displays a very nice bokeh, looks nice on black K1 , I would love DFA 70-320 / 4.5-5.6 ED SDM WR silver look with a aperture f4.5 from 70 to 210mm (now f4.5 from 80 to 200mm), would not regretted that there is D FA 70-210mm F4 ED SDM WR silver

Interesting.
A new battery with more energy density and voltage.

More energy density is good.

More voltage would be bad. That would be incompatible with existing cameras and chargers. I can bring my K-5 and K-1 on a trip and know that every battery works with either camera.

Nokishita is saying today that the new charger is for the D-LI90P and can recharge the battery in less than half the time, about 150 minutes. It will be available in Late November.

Fast charging or long life, take your pick. Or at least, that's the conventional wisdom.
