I guess the new rumored APS-C will be "Asahi Pentax Supervideo-Cellphone".

The "Anniversary Year" was awful although technically aren't we still in it? Nov 27, 2019 was supposed to be the anniversary date, so if we add a year to that...

While the K-70 seems a little long in the tooth the only thing I really think it needs is a new aperture solenoid (how that issue has been allowed to persist this long is kind of shocking). The 645Z is where a replacement seems most due. It would be interesting to see how much money has been made on the sales of that camera after development and tooling costs etc etc are considered. I want to say Ricoh was surprised at early sales numbers with that camera.

A K-02 that looks like a Fuji X-T30 with a k-mount sounds wonderful. Another Fisher Price camera with no viewfinder and as much user interface robbed from the K-70 as possible is not nearly as attractive.

Yes. I'm getting pretty bored with this game.

I used to be interested in the K-new, but these Pentax suggestions and non-events have been dragging on for so long that I've lost interest in whatever they are doing or planning with the K-new or anything else.

27 November 2019 was both the last day of the 100th year of Asahi Optical and the first day of their 101st year.

Yet the LX was launched in 1980, so...

Then we have to include the D FA* 85mm f/1.4, and we can no longer say it was "awful"

How many anniversary years are we talking about here?

The D-FA*85 is indeed an impressive lens from the samples I have seen. I just wish more of the world was paying attention to it and other good glass in the k-mount ecosystem.

I am totally pleased with the KP I bought on Black Friday 2018.

If I wanted a new 'flagship "APS-C" ' camera, I would simply wait until they are again willing to sell one to me.
