I have nothing against beautifully finished camera. Wood and leather doesn't cost much, compared to electronic & software. For me it should be common sense than when buying a multi-thousand $ product, the external design , plus ergonomics should be excellent. Some cameras that sell for $10 000, are a total shame (IMO) in terms of product finishing.

Ricoh GR III ING special edition camera was released in China in October last year, and only for the Chinese market.

You're not the only Pentax fan here hoping for sooner rather than later.

From what I'm reading the new camera will not be the only Pentax product officially announced, but of course that's simply rumors at this point even if coming from generally reliable sources.

I don’t recall that Ricoh has made CP+ a special event, previously. If that’s the case, then the creation of a page to cover it means something. Of course, it may simply be a means to promote the K-3iii, but perhaps there is more coming.

On the other hand, it may just be that my recollection isn’t perfect.

Did you read the announcement? I don't know why they have confined this initiative to China, but perhaps they see a need to broaden the outlook of young people there.
