He is talking about the official Japanese price. It won’t work out like the direct translation. It never does.
For comparison, the K-1 II is officially 259,800 yen on the Ricoh site, but it doesn’t actually sell for that at retailers, even on Day 1. Also, the US price was considerably lower at release.
And sure, I could buy a second hand K-3II, D500 or K-1 for less, but I won’t. I want a K-3 III. I thought another name would be better, but I guess this silences the people who are obsessed with models having a literal successor.
The specs look very good. It’s only a small detail, but I like the addition of highlight-weighted metering. It’s useful on the GR III.
