Will it have two different RAW-types?

"Max. approx. 12 fps, JPEG ( L: ★★★ at Continuous H): up to approx. 37 frames, RAW: up to approx. 32 frames, RAW: up to approx. 30 frames"

I like it how he enjoyed showing the 12 images per second !
Sounds like a very nice camera. My lenses are better suited to FF but I'm still tempted.

This camera looks like an X-T4 competitor and will likely be priced similarly. Which, is more expensive than the K-1 II, some buyers will have an interesting decision to make. Ultimate Speed vs ultimate IQ ( for pentax), not bad options I suppose

Could it be RAW and RAW+ (RAW + JPEG)?

Yeah kept a pretty straight face until he did that spray and transformed with that smile. :-) cute

It looks like all my guesses came through: naming, lack of GPS, resolution

I don't think its a hybrid viewfinder either. But we don't know yet?

Camera is in the final stages of development. Delayed because of Corona. Launch expected at CP+ 2021 (Feb 25 to 28).

Product name: Pentax K-3 Mark III
I wonder if a Launch date end of February will translate to a actual release of later in the spring. I'm not trying to be a sceptical, just don't recall how CP+ launches pan out.

There is a typo in the English text.

In the Japanese version it's 'RAW: up to approx. 32 frames, RAW+: up to approx. 30 frames'.

Would have made more sense to call it a K2.
I suspect that name is reserved for the second FF body. The K-1 II replacement will be called K-1 III probably.....

All info looks very nice. Perfect TC and speed update next to K1. The added value of a large viewfinder, the handling, etc are really worth spending extra money - and looking for extra lenses.

Pentax should be the first (?) to implement.
- Sideloading LUTs in standar format
- Sideloading curves in standard format
- Raw histogram

Seems to me that they have less to loose than most by being a bit more open and hack/custom friendly.

Perhaps for the next model!

I think the key improvement that we may expect is that the buffer will clear faster with the UHS-II on the main card so there shouldn't be such long wait period to be able to shoot again.. This is probably the biggest issue I have with my K-1 - buffer size + clear out time

They mentioned that at higher ISO's the frame rate will drop. (Quote Continuous shooting speed slows down with High sensitivity)

One use of two card slots is to write to two cards simultaneously, creating a mirror backup as you shoot. How does this work with a fast UHS-II card and a slower UHS-I card in the second slot?
