Agreed, 100 is plenty. The D6 uses the Multicam 37k with 105 cross points and that's I think one of the fastest AF systems out there.
We shall see if they pull it off. Maybe. I'm pretty skeptical due to past Pentax claims vs what we got with the new SAFOX system though. I'm happy they can match the multicam 3500 FX 2 in the D750/780. It still gets the job done very well.
If Pentax can match any of those it would be fantastic.

I hope so. The 3d system in my D750 is great, locks on and follows in AF-C very well. Totally different story compared to the AF-C performance in my K-3.
That's all the performance I need so if they can match that AF module it would be excellent.
