Camera is in the final stages of development. Delayed because of Corona. Launch expected at CP+ 2021 (Feb 25 to 28).

Features and specifications:

1. The new optical viewfinder: 1.05x magnification
2. Outstanding operability: "greatly upgraded from its predecessor". New shutter control mechanism for sharp, accurate shutter action; touch-screen LCD panel; new grip.
3. The dramatic improvement of image quality: all main components, including image sensor, imaging engine and accelerator have been redesigned. Max ISO 1.6 million.
4. Continuous-shooting and image-tracking performance. Max. 12 fps. Autofocus improved to widen focus-point coverage and improve tracking performance for subjects in motion.

market price in the upper 200,000 ¥ range (200,000 ¥ is about $1900) (which means it will cost 250,000 ¥ to 290,000 ¥ or $2,400 to $2,800 ?)

The video said nothing like that.

There's a lot more information here.

26 megapixel sensor, interesting.

The video is kind of funny, they act as if more information is coming soon, but then if you look at their spec sheet it basically reveals everything about the camera.

I almost bought a Fuji today. Glad I didn't, now that I've seen this. Everything looks great so far. I might wind up preferring this to my K-1. What's the weight, that's my biggest remaining question. The price is... daunting. I paid that much for my K-1 years ago. But considering that my K-3 is worth no more than $300-400 now, that's a big jump!

At that price, it's directly competitive with the K-1. I wonder how many will choose the APS-C flagship instead? Probably depends on the lenses you have.

Not listed perse but playback view option lists
GPS information (latitude, longitude, altitude, Coordinated Universal Time)

Now what does a 26MP @ 12fps for 30 frames mean if extrapolated into a K-1iii? Is that like 8fps for 20?

Frankly, I'm shocked the name is K-3 Mark III, given that there is a new body design.
