I requested the Monday 14:00 - 14:45 slot. Haven't had confirmation yet, but I placed the request shortly after receiving the e-mail, so I'm hopeful...

That looks like a lot of topics to cover in 45 minutes, even if you took out the Q&A section. I would question if those topics will be sufficiently covered to be useful.

It could be done...
• Brand structure. (5 minutes?)

• History and technological achievements. (5 minutes?)

• Technical knowledge (i.e. camera controls, depth of field, focal lengths, Astro tracer, etc.). (10 minutes?)

• Photographic techniques & creative insights (i.e. panning, rack zoom, abstract, creativity boosters, etc.). (10 minutes?)

• Antonio Pisani freelance work and experience captured using Pentax equipment (i.e. B/W, portraiture, Travel Photography.). (5 minutes?)

• Live Q & A. (10 minutes?)
When all's said and done, it's a positive thing that Ricoh Imaging is doing this, and it's free. Hardly the worst way to pass 45 minutes as I drink my coffee

I agree it can be done, but my point was the quality of the presentation. Those times look like they would only allow for broad overviews of the topics, almost like being a sales pitch to get people to buy additional assistance. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but you usually get what you pay for.

But hey, I hope for the sake of those that sign up that I'm wrong.

I'd be very surprised if anyone signing up for the presentation doesn't expect it to be a marketing exercise first and foremost - but, you know, many members here have bemoaned Ricoh Imaging's lack of marketing (even I've mentioned it a couple of times, having been worn down by the crowd)... so I figure I can spare 45 short minutes online to hear what they have to say; and maybe, just maybe, I'll learn some interesting company and product factoids I wasn't previously aware of. If not, I've lost nothing. It's November, it's cold and wet here in the UK, and afternoon TV's terrible...

Is there any public link? What I could see on their Facebook page says "fully booked"...

Hmmm... Not looking good for me, then... The e-mail said confirmation of booking would be received in 24 hours and I've not received mine yet That said, it's encouraging to see they're already fully booked. Maybe with this level of demand, they'll realise there's plenty of interest and offer additional sessions.

There's no public link I'm aware of. I suspect it's something Ricoh Imaging is offering via its preferred dealers and their registered customers...

I would sit through such a presentation; naturally, I didn't get the email.

This is a good thing. It may just be me, but it appears Ricoh is making a more focused effort to get the Ricoh/Pentax name more visability.

Foolishly, I thought there would be an almost unlimited number spaces as it on the web right?
So I didn't book right away and I get the same response. It says there will be more dates made available later.

Maybe these people are Toastmasters and no how to do a presentation in the allotted time?

They're one-to-one presentations tailored to the individual rather than group sessions, so I guess that's why spaces were filled so quickly

I didn't get the slot I wanted, but was offered Thursday 17th of December 15:00 - 15:45, which I've accepted. Given the obvious demand - which I suspect has taken Ricoh a little by surprise - I'll be amazed if they don't offer additional dates...

Yes, it is in the title , I read what I wanted to and glossed over this, thinking as I was it would be like the 100 year presentations of something. I will pay attention next time.
