I went into my local Calumet in Bristol UK today and asked if they would be stocking the km/k2000.

The salesperson said that they did not normally stock 'stuff like that' (his words not mine) but I was the fifth person to inquire in two days, which was noted to be higher than most other cameras in the whole stock line up.

So he seemed to think there was quite a buzz around the new KM, and would look into it.

Sounds good!

Good news, maybe the chains will realise that there is a market for Pentax after all ;-)

Calumet Munich D doesn't stock Pentax either. I once asked why and was told that only very few professionals would inquire about Pentax but that they are aware of them. Actually, they had a Pentax 645 lens on display

In a big Pro store in Copenhagen, they also have all you can wish for in super tele C&N, plus Leica, etc. And also in the front room, a 67 Pentax

Heck, at the prices that they sell the istD (body only) for it's no wonder they don't sell and thus do not stock a lot of Pentax gear...

Guess they are a little behind huh?
