I propose that 2022's CP+ be held within Minecraft. Manufacturers will be able to build booths to any size they wish, though of course they'll have to fight off mobs from the other brands. For us consumers, simply finding the booths will be an interesting challenge, and viewing the products on show whilst simultaneously battling enemies will be a new twist to keep us fully engaged from our armchairs...
I like this idea very much!

Venn diagram illustrating the overlap between ILC users and Minecraft players.

Grandpa: Hey Josh, you gotta help Grandpa get into CP+, it's on the Minecraft!
Josh: Uhhh...
Grandpa: Look, the cows are square!
Josh: You need an axe and a crafting table.
Grandpa: I remember back in '53 when your great-grandpa put an axe right through Cousin Donna's kitchen window...
Josh: ??

Josh: Grandpa, you just got killed by a zombie.
Grandpa: What? I need a nap.

Hey, I don't think I am slim enough to fit there

(Okay I haven't actually played Minecraft in 5 years but I do own it...)

Ha ha Excellent...

Well, if we Pentaxians are too old for Minecraft, maybe we'd be more at home with an online CP+ inside DOOM... then folks could say Pentax is DOOMed! and be accurate for once

I'd play that. Just make two versions: one with good old 1992 sprites and another in glorious 2020 DooM:Eternal gore to catch the younglings' attention
And with how frantic the action can get in Doom we're gonna need those 12 fps and good tracking...

There could be mini drones at the show you could rent online. Log in to your drone and fly from booth to booth. With built in translators, you could talk with the person in the booth.

Maybe in 2051.

I don't own it, have no idea what this discussion is about, and don't care.

All you ever need to know Minecraft - Wikipedia

I think the key metric is Microsoft paid USD $2.5B for Minecraft in 2014, which is not bad pocket money

Wasn't that the same year Microsoft bought Nokia for $7BN ??? Cost != value!

Considering that Minecraft has an active player base of 130 million (is that more than the entire ILC photography market? ) and has revenues of about $400 million a year, I'd say it was a much better acquisition than Nokia

I had a Windows phone that I purchased after the acquisition.
MicroSoft acted for awhile as thought they wanted to be in that business .... until they didn’t.
Windows may have been too unwieldy to squeeze into a phone well.
In any case, they had to try it - and they had the cash.
