Well, guys like The PhotographyApparatusSettlement briefly try to promote Pentax, hoping they'd make money out of it and be promoted to Ambassadors; when they fail, they start bashing hard, in revenge.
I hope Ricoh Imaging will manage to improve that, through visibility. It won't be easy.
Unfortunately, amateur videos made out of passion - like this one - aren't terribly well made and informative. It's logical, as one needs to gain experience at it.
Like you, I can't figure out the performance from it.
Pentax isn't doomed, Pentax is just not even talked about anymore. If they mention the brand its something like "they still make cameras???" We're beyond the doomed stage. People have expected Pentax to be out of business for so long they just stopped talking about it. Youtubers only seem to like the brands slipping them a check, seems very Canon/Sony positive on there. Tony Northrup let slip that Nikon stopped talking to them and low and behold it got very negative for Nikon on Youtube.
Nikon is the new "doomed" brand. Nikon right now feels like Pentax did when I bought it over 10 years ago. Solid image quality and just behind the competition for autofocus with better weather sealing for less money.
I hope this K-33 comes out swinging and crushes the autofocus to become the best DSLR on the market. That would be amazing. I'd love to see the YouTubers spin that.
Was anyone able to translate some of what these guys are saying in this video about the camera?

Yes it's best to have both. My Z5 has a really good touch screen and the same button controls as previous cameras so best of both worlds. It would be super annoying if it was just touch. And touch screens are a mess if they're wet to use.

Getting GPS from a phone is a good idea for tagging etc.I don’t personally care but some people do.
I don't know what Z5 uses (4 or 5)? Bluetooth is always on, even when the camera is switched off (unless you disable in settings). It uses next to nothing for battery and at any time I can open the app and the camera is there and download images if I feel like it. No need to take it out of the bag. Its pretty convenient. Hopefully the K33 is something like that. When you want to download large images it automatically connects via wifi for the transfer, then back to Bluetooth when your done.
