But they are in different series, the Q and Q-10 have smaller sensors, the Q7 and Q-S1 have the 1/1.7" sensor... so I'm running with the idea that the 'Q III' would be the third in the line of 1/1.7" sensors...

and with the 645 series, I'm counting the 645D and the 645Z as the first two predecessors for the 645 III

Pentax has said they will focus on K-mount - there will be neither a '645' nor a "Q".
