'Viridian is a blue-green pigment, a hydrated chromium oxide, of medium saturation and relatively dark in value. It is composed more of green than blue. Specifically, it is a dark shade of spring green, so it is the colour between green and teal on the colour wheel, or, in paint, a tertiary blue–green colour. Viridian takes its name from the Latin viridis, meaning "green"
That sounds like the green colour of the GRII limited edition.

Wasn't there a limited edition Pentax LX in the mid 1990's to celebrate Asahi's 75th anniversary? Maybe LX75 has the color scheme of the LX Limited with titanium body?

Indeed there was: Pentax LX Titanium.

Variations and special releases
In October 1981, Pentax made available 300 limited edition Pentax LX Gold cameras to celebrate having produced 10 million SLR cameras, the first camera manufacturer to reach that milestone according to the accompanying certificate. The camera and its SMC 1:1.2 50 mm lens is partly gold plated and partly covered in brown reptile skin, while some details are made of brown plastic, and it came with a brown ever-ready case. Cameras for some markets such as the U.S. have brown leather instead of reptile skin supposedly due to import laws. The actual number of cameras made is somewhat higher than 300 since a few were retained at Pentax reserved for their own use. The actual number for sale however was 300 cameras according to Pentax in Tokyo. It is a superb example of Japanese camera workmanship.

Three limited editions of the Pentax LX were subsequently distributed on the Japanese market according to the Asahi Optical Historical Club:

The Pentax LX Titanium was produced in 1994 to mark the company's 75th anniversary. The titanium plated limited edition of apparently only 1000 LX cameras for the Japanese market came in a presentation box.

Another Pentax LX Titanium was launched in 1996, finished in black in a limited number of 300.

The Pentax LX 2000 with a SMC Pentax-A 1:1.2 50 mm lens in bright metal finish marked the new millennium in the year 2000.

Not gonna lie, my enthusiasm has dwindled. It's not exactly what I expected after Ooku said "several new Pentax products coming"...

That is the LX titanium. I was thinking about the LX Limited (also titanium bodied).
Likely that this is the LX75 scheme....

The LX titanium AFAIK had titanium made top and bottom plates. I don't really expect similar treatment in K-1 II JLim

Calling them 'new' is a bit of a stretch...

Maybe they will finally disclose the max aperture of the 21 limited... And also probably announce a delay of new DA*, as is tradition at this point.

So... do we know if these re-issues are all the new stuff?

Here is the product page for the Japan Ricoh store.

HD PENTAX-FA 43mm F1.9 Limited
????: 'pentax hd set01' | RICOH IMAGING
Price 79,110 including tax

The photos are rather uninteresting, since the only difference seems to be the HD on the inscription.

Did the old ones have rounded aperture blades? The page for 43mm mentions this in the spec, along with HD and SP coatings.
Very nice. It's something I actually expected from Pentax.

I like that they're maintaining the aperture ring - like they did with the HD 35mm f2. They changed focus to being a brand all about "the pleasure of photography", as they stated in interviews recently, and aperture rings do add to that. This is very nice to hear

Now if they brought the aperture coupler back completely, that would be grand . The K-3iii having an improved stop-down system is probably the confirmation that it ain't ever happening, though.

Mistral: Sounds like another word taken/given that ended up being English's "verdant".

Rounding the blade of the FA 43 might be helpful, to a degree, in calming down out of focus backgrounds. Shots with that lens can look pretty busy from the samples I've seen. Obviously doesn't help too much with wide open shots.

It seems quite a few brands are bringing aperture rings back. The new DFA21 doesn't have one.
