I've read so much and seen so many videos abut the K-3-III that I'll be ready for a K-3-IV before the thing ever reaches the marketplace.

Looks like this video is supposed to mimic a "hands on" demonstration if you would have been able to attend CP+ in person.

2:55 - Dual slot. Departure from K-1 and K-3 where the SD card slot 2 is now on the lens side. Slot 1 is the one that is UHS-II compatible.
4:15 - Comparison of the K-3 and larger K-3 III viewfinder
5:45 - Shooting at High burst speed. Auto caption says 30 images RAW+ (32 RAW) before buffer fills, but the video shows getting more (about 36-39), maybe because of compression or buffer clearing during shooting. Takes about 14 seconds after stopping to clear buffer.

7:30 - Showing the touch screen functionality and new menu layout
11:20 - New aperture recording for older lenses
15:00 - View through viewfinder to show shorter blackout time vs K-3

FWIW I just watched a photographer video (Yoshiaki Kobayashi) about the K3iii which is the most recent video to be added on YouTube. He spends a lot of time talking about the viewfinder and how you get a better feeling for the scene than with an EVF. At one point he shows a collection of lenses which I assumed were the ones he tested with, but later (22:13) shows photos which I believe were taken with the DA560 (go-roku-ju miri, so he is literally saying it as five-sixty millimitres, not five hundred and sixty). I don't know if he's based in Hokkaido but that's where the photos appear to be taken, judging by the eagles and cranes (I think it's the Shiretoko peninsula). However, he has used a variety of lenses out to the fisheye zoom. At 23:17 he talks about the crop with the DFA 150-450. I'll have to watch this in more detail, because he has taken bird photos, and that's one thing I will be doing. I notice that the photo preview button has been moved to the right side of the viewfinder to be operated by the right thumb. That's probably a more convenient arrangement.

The video is part of the "Touch and Try" interactive (chat) sessions. In the beginning they ask the participants not record the video or take screen captures as well as ask about pricing and release dates. That info would be released in an Official Announcement. I noted this video in the CP+ 2021 Archive thread.

It's been there since K-1 / Kp : much easier to reach than the K-5 that needed the left hand (not used K-3, so not sure where that is) .

It's on the left on the K3, same as the K5. I don't have the KP or K1 so I didn't realise that.

The real way to display a date is day/month/year not the incorrect/american way of month/day/year!

Often computer programmers use year month day {2 digits for each of last two}, because that sorts correctly.
The only way to avoid confusing us is to use letters for the month.

The people in real life are not computer programmers and this is a camera enthusiasts site. The correct way is dd/mm/yyyy

if so, we must drop Pentax

[ this is meant as " fun" so I hope it is taken in that fashion ]
