I can communicate in German in at least a 3-year-old's level, so I'll watch and just assume all the things I don't quite catch are "ausgezeichnet!"

Yeah, I will be able to pick up basic terms of positivity (or negativity, I guess) with my rudimentary German (like yours, it exists) and watching the video (and hearing the shutter in high speed continuous mode) will show a lot. I guess I could spend tonight brushing up on the German for "viewfinder", "pentaprism", "aperture", "shutter", "focus", and "tracking". If he starts saying a lot about Augen in a very excited way, then I will know that the eye AF seems to be working.

Interesting. He is a landscape shooter that has a Canon system. I'm sure we'll see other reviewers soon. It is the 31st and 5am in Japan. I'm guessing the product page could be going up soon.
