If they manage to launch the K-3 III and the DA*1650 at the same time I'm pretty sure it will be good for marketing. Putting that combo in the hands of reviewers will likely improve the perceptions of both products. Basically any other lens than the DA*1650, except perhaps the DFA70210, won't be very impressive to contemporary reviewers for one reason or another.

I can't imagine the DA*1650 being sold as a kit though. If it is that's one hell of a high end kit.

I don't think it does. I read it as simply...
Body: Black/Silver
Body with lens: Black/Silver - as in, choose black or silver for body but you still get the same base lens (18-135 perhaps?).

RiceHigh is referring to the Chinese forum.
It seems like at least one of the users there was able to test the camera.

The tweets, however, are Nokishita's - and Nokishita is reliable.
Yes, and Google translate indicates Nokishita said K-3iii kit and grip had been added to overseas dealers and "within a week" for reservations.

As for the forum posts...Yes they have had a camera for testing...since 1 March with firmware v1.0. RiceHigh was explicit about not being aware of a release date.

I wonder who the dealers are? I checked bnh and adorama, I can't see anything listed for them.

The ship that is stuck in the Suez canal, did I see that there was a container on board with Ricoh on it?

Great news, but April 1st is next week ...
Of course, the rumor is 'next week,' not specifically Thursday.
A more auspicious date might be 12 July (feast date of St. Veronica, patron saint of photography).
No thanks, If it's 1 April, that will be just fine.

As far as a kit. Is that even a thing anymore? A couple months ago I was looking at b&h and adorama and it appeared that they bundled packages together with a variety of lenses (looking at kp and k70). There wasn't much or any discount on the lens.

I assume that the majority of the early adopters will be people like us and don't need to buy a lens to have a working copy
